The year 2020 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the "Latin American Workshop and Symposium on Anaerobic Digestion" series, which began in Mexico City in 1990. Now Mexico, for the third time, is hosting this event.
Over the past 30 years, these events have been held on a biannual basis except for versions VIII to XI, which were three years apart. The DAAL meetings have become a reference in the region, based on the high scientific and technical level of the presentations and the interest of the attendees, with full rooms at all times. Another highlight is the opportunity offered by IWA to authors of selected papers to submit to Water Science & Technology and Water Practice & Technology, following an independent review process.
The scientific program of DAAL 14 will follow the traditional structure of these meetings. Each day will open with a plenary conference, and on the last day, there will be a closing presentation. Renowned international experts will present these four lectures.
Selected technical papers will be presented in oral sessions (15 min plus 5 min Q&A) in three parallel rooms. The posters will be shown on a daily schedule in a dedicated room. At least three workshop-type sessions will be organized, addressing topics of broad interest and coordinated by leading experts.
The detailed program of the DAAL 14 will be announced in October 2020, with a preview in August.
The technical program will include plenary presentations by renowned specialists, oral and poster presentations, as well as discussion sessions among experts.
